What rebirth does in Steel Fighters
Rebirth trades your current Cash and Scrap for permanent multipliers. The Rebirths panel (the Rebirth button on the left of the screen) shows exactly what the next rebirth gives and what it takes:
| Rebirth | Requirement | Cash | Scrap | Level cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 → 1 | Reach floor 30 | x1 → x1.5 | x1 → x1.5 | 10 → 20 |

Rebirth requirement: floor 30
The first rebirth needs you to reach floor 30. The panel tracks your progress as “Floor 17/30”, and in our run it showed 17 while we were fighting on floor 12. In other words, it counts the highest floor you have reached, so dropping a floor after a lost fight does not set your rebirth progress back.
There is also a Skip button that unlocks the rebirth for 99 Robux. Since floor 30 is reachable for free and your robots carry over, we don’t think the skip is worth it.
What you keep and what resets
- Resets: Cash goes to 0 and Scrap goes to 0.
- Kept: your robots and their levels. The panel says so directly: “You keep your robots and their levels.”
Before you press Rebirth
Because only your Cash and Scrap are wiped, the goal is to turn them into things that carry over:
- Build every robot you have parts for at your Craft Station. Robots are kept.
- Level your robots up to the cap of 10. Levels are kept, and the cap rises to 20 after the rebirth, so nothing you put in is wasted.
- Spend whatever Cash and Scrap is left on upgrades. Anything still in your balance is lost.
- Then rebirth. With x1.5 Cash and Scrap you will earn your way back faster than the first time.
When to rebirth
As soon as you reach floor 30 and have spent your Cash and Scrap. You lose nothing you can’t spend first, and every minute you wait is a minute earning without the x1.5 bonus. The higher level cap also lets your robots keep growing instead of sitting at level 10.
Later rebirths
We only list a rebirth after we have seen its panel in-game. The requirements and bonuses for rebirth 2 and beyond will be added here once we reach them; check the panel after each rebirth, since it always shows the next step.
